I’mmmmm back!
My 5 week tour of Europe was an amazing trip. I definitely had some feelings of not wanting to come back but it helped having something so exciting as the restaurant opening soon to return to. As of right now it’s looking like it will be early July.
My dad, my sister, NJ (our awesome Restaurant Manager) and I will soon be running around like perfectly roasted naturally raised, hormone-free chickens with our heads cut off! There’s a lot that goes into opening a restaurant and we have a giant white board in my living room with an ongoing “to do” list.
The restaurant itself is really coming along. The dry-walling is pretty much all up and there’s even been a little bit of painting going on. We’ve already had one hiring fair last Friday and there is another one Tuesday, June 15th from 4pm to 8pm at #133 – 4611 Bowness Rd. NW.
As for my trip, we tried to stick to local dishes as much as much as we could. Here’s a little list of some of the delicious food I ate;
- Croissants, Cheese & Baguettes in France
- Seafood Paella & Sangria in Spain
- Pizza, Pasta and Gelato in Italy
- Gyros, Yogurt, Baklava, Greek Salad, Tomato Keftedes & Squid in Greece
- Apple Strudel, Almdudler & Schnitzel in Austria
